This month at the hub we enjoy cooking, gardening and circling around “ To we or not to We , that is the question !”
Below a word from Ivo Mensch, our host for this month.
“The praxis context for April was an exploration into the social field, how it unfolds and shaped our shared experiences of what it means to be a part of an ever changing whole. In the Hub people are always coming and going so accommodating and integrating shifts and events in the field is a capacity that is always operating.
We hosted various inquiry and embodied sensemaking practices in the praxis evenings. Circling, various styles of intersubjective inquiry, and also theoretical frameworks on personal social styles and stages of group unfoldment were explored.
Andrea, is a long time resident, who just recently left the Hub. During the month she offered her deep skills in hosting constellations, which highlighted the presence and effects of personal history, as well as the universals active in the group dynamics. One is the understanding that a social field is in search of wholeness and missing elements need to be presenced and integrated if it is to become coherent.
This practice month showed that this is a rich field of exploration of which we have only begun to scratch the surface. Experiences of incoherence in the field can’t be seen as a set of problems to be cracked, but are better understood as a stage-like, and ongoing process demanding care and attention to the emergent patterns that remain invisible without practices of illumination and integration. Especially in a dynamic place like the Hub, these practices are invaluable.”
Here a testimonial from one of our participants, Mélanie Klocker.
“I came to the hub with no idea what to expect, but rather with a wish to be part of and experience myself as a part of a community for some time. What I received and could give (and am still receiving and giving, as I extended my stay) was plentiful:
Opportunities to immerse myself in stimulating group discussions, circles, and activities which sparked new insights, disruption and connections.
A welcoming environment where there was space for community, personal work, creativity and fun, midst of a group of super interesting individuals.
I made some lovely friends along the way which I’m super grateful for
Not to forget the opportunity to stay in this lovely, charming old house, nestled by the picturesque river ‘Dordogne’, offering moments of tranquility and reflection amidst nature's beauty.
Tiptoeing into facilitating small circles and evening activities in a private group container
And last but not least, the delicious food cooked by all of us, fostering a sense of community and shared experience through the joy of cooking and eating together.
This place truly became a home away from home, and I’m very grateful for this experience.”
