We’re in the thick of it- The meta-crisis, with the climate crisis as its visible, concrete edge, are shaping our lives and of future generations…

Awareness is rising. Yet many are hesitant to focus on adapting to climate breakdown, fearing its implied surrender. This residency is about plunging deeper into the danger zone willingly, challenging taboo by emphasising adaptation instead of solely focusing on reducing emissions. When we do this, the future and the present look very different. Its time to prepare realistically and embrace the necessity of transformative adaptation..

Join us in Bergerac this September to explore psycho-spiritual adaptation and community resilience, combining climate realities with hope and creativity.

How can we embrace the danger of collapse without falling into despair? How do we open up to new possibilities? Can adaptation efforts support climate mitigation and help society reconcile with reality? Let's make adaptation accessible and build a supportive community ready to face immense challenges ahead.

Led by Liam Kavanagh, with insights from Rupert Read the co- director of the climate majority project and author Stephen Markley, this residency will delve into defensive, deep, and transformative adaptation.
