A note from November at the Bergerac Hub
A snapshot of life from our Autumn Praxis Residency...
November has been a beautiful month at the Bergerac Hub — there are 9 of us here at the moment and I’m appreciating a sense of lightness and ease in our group field. The spirit of playfulness has been with us a lot, through activities like Improv Games, watching someone’s favourite comedian together, and lots of laughs and jokes over mealtimes. We’ve appreciated the surprising late Autumn sun and enjoyed being outdoors for lunch, riverside walks, and workout sessions. We’ve honoured the sacredness of life and death with a ritual to support a resident through a challenging moment, and with a gratitude circle to celebrate Thanksgiving, prompted by two residents who are with us from the US. There’s been creativity and self-expression — painting and singing and chatting by the fire; 5Rhythms dance; joining an Open Mic night in town. There have been miscellaneous things beginning with the letter ‘m’: meditation workshops, a massage night, market trips, and much more… ;) Feeling grateful for our time together and a dawning sadness that the residency is coming to an end in a couple of weeks’ time.
